The Ministry of State Security has appointed Arthur Fraser as its new Director General.
Many would remember Fraser as the alleged spy who saved President Jacob Zuma's political life in 2009. The Mail & Gurdian reported that he leaked secret recordings to Zuma's lawyers, which saw criminal charges against him dropped.
He was also accused of supporting Former President Thabo Mbeki, and then changing to support President Jacob Zuma.
Listen to Xolani Gwala speaking to EWN reporter Mandy Weiner about Fraser's history with the State Security and President Jacob Zuma.
